I spent the good part of one day trying to trackdown a download-able version of this song by Jonti on Stones Throw. I heard this mellow and happy arrangement during this podcast (download it!) and then went OCD on finding it for a mix. No. Where. To. Be. Found. By me at least. So, I have to settle for this (MySpace? Really?) until the full length is released in the fall.

Just got two tickets to this show at The Granada on Tuesday, September 27. Despite it being easy to be too cool or jaded about currently luving on some Panda Bear (Noah Lennox), I've never see him or Animal Collective before and am so looking forward to it. Media and hipsters be damned. Both artists have been a soundtrack to lots of irreplaceable memories for me. All the more dreamy if Sonic Boom is backing him (FINGERS CROSSED A MILLION MEGAHERTZ). The Happy Monday

Was flippin' through a magazine before bounding out of bed this morning and read about Los Amparito, a band from Guadalajara. Couldn't wait to get out of my early meeting to check them out since the mag said they sounded like "shoegazing mariachi on 'shrooms." Yah! Sound-wise, there's obvious comparisons Animal Collective/Panda Bear—seems that every review I read made the same association. More about the band here. I need the full length like now!

Along these lines, I stumbled on this Tumblr and am loving lots of the music.
