Was about 15 when I first heard this song. My pal Chandra and I fell in love with it after seeing this video on 120 Minutes. I quickly bought Evol on vinyl and every other previous release, too. An ex-boyfriend gave me the 7 inch for Death Valley 69 and I snuck down to Waterloo Records for an instore to have the band autograph the front. Sonic Youth was epically dear to my musical upbringing. Sad to hear that Kim and Thurston have spilt. Sad things happen to the best of them.
