The Happy Monday

As if today could get any better, the ending of it will, without a doubt, have me smiling tonight, through my sleep, and when I wake up. Just received an email from a friend in Washington State who I lost contact with at least twelve years ago. There used to be a time when a day didn't go by that I wasn't listening to this Volume All Star release. The "Let Me Be Your Pet" is my favesong, but I couldn't find it online. Scenes From A Spring Day in Winter

Kicked back in the warm sunshine and snacked on a picnic of rainbow chard veggie wraps, cherries/grapes/clementines, veggie quiche, and chased it all down with freshly-pressed beet juice. Hiked 3 miles in shaded hilly woods and breezy open grasslands where we came close to kidnapping Domino, a sweet hound with the coolest coloring we'd ever seen. Couldn't have asked for a more dreamy day to celebrate the birth of the wonderfulness that is our Shoshi.

That Jukebox in the Corner

This is the only song I can karaoke without having to look at the lyrics. Oh! And Missy Elliot's "Get Ur Freak On;" I'd almost forgot about that one. I really like this softer-paced remix. Haven't heard many twists on this beloved classic. Am psyched to listen in on the treasure trove of Thin Lizzy recordings that were stashed for 26 years and are scheduled to be released as a boxed set later this year. Love you, Phil.
