Garden Variety

I've always loved terrariums but had never made one, until this past weekend. My pal Nikki, at North Haven Gardens, messaged me a few times last week about the great new arrivals the store had received for making a garden under/in glass and was ready to get started. Everything you see here, except for the vintage Campus Cutie doll, was purchased there. I needed a new hobby and I thought these would make great birthday prezzies for friends and the requests are rolling in! Right on! Another friend told me about Sprout Home. Really fun stuff going on there!

Featuring a gas station runway scene set to the music of Sleigh Bells and closing with a drive out to the tune of Ariel Pink and Matt Fishbeck’s Holy Shit, the spinning radio dial distills the sounds of American music into a pastiche almost as whimsical, beautiful, bizarre, and ultimately chic as the motifs in the collection itself.
