One of the things I loved the most about living in Boston was the insane amount of fun free outdoor haps kickin’ around the city. Since the winter has most of the city on a slow-paced lockdown, it bursts at the seams as soon as the mercury rises. During the summer, Friday nights were about free flicks on the Charles River at the Hatch Shell (Sunday was all about Bocce Ball with old Italian men). You’ve seen the place if you’ve ever watched 4th of July fireworks on the telly.
I was stoked to find out that Dallas too has FREE OUTDOOR MOVIES under the stars. Victory Plaza has been hosting them all summer. Last month The Goonies was shown and about 300 peeps showed up. It was awesome. And now word of Lee Park getting in on the action. The season of outdoor flicks seems to be winding down, but there are a few left. Bring a chair, blanket, or someone cute to cuddle with.
